Mr. Clyde has always been fair and does an excellent job. I was on my way to Florida and told him that I didn't think my air conditioner was working properly. He took my vehicle in and tested it and went over the unit. When I returned he said it was fine and cooling properly and wouldn't accept or charge me for anything unless I just wanted to throw my money away. Other shops would and have charged for work not required. This was years ago and I have been going to him every since and have been treated fairly.

Needed to replace my transmission in my 2017 Ford Explorer. Looked at Jasper's website for a preferred installer and found Clyde's. I looked at all the reviews and they were well rated. Called and spoke to Harlan about the situation. He was great to work with. I dropped off the Explorer on Sunday night using their drop box. I called to make sure everything was OK with the Explorer being left in their parking lot overnight and no problems. Clyde's got started on Monday morning and was finished before noon on Tuesday. When I picked it up, Clyde told me he test drove it to make sure everything was good to go. First time dealing with this shop and did they deliver. Great experience. They earned a new customer going forward. Make the drive like I did and let Clyde's take care of you. On the way out I asked Harlan if I needed to break in the transmission, he said "drive it like you stole it". I was laughing all the way home.

Clyde's was recommended to me by one of my friends who is a customer. After two other places couldn't manage to fix my brakes properly, I took my vehicle there. I am happy to report that I now have working and quiet brakes at a reasonable price. Friendly customer service is always a plus too! Thanks Guys!

It makes sense that a car that is rarely driven will last longer, right? It may seem counterintuitive, but that isn’t necessarily the case. Vehicles are meant to be driven, and various issues can arise if they aren’t stored properly or driven fairly regularly. If you have a car, truck, or SUV that you only drive occasionally, in the summer, to car shows, etc., this one is for you. Here’s what you need to know, from Clyde's Car & Light Truck Repair in Salisbury, MD.

If you’re ever in a situation where you must remove the battery from your vehicle, it’s important to know what you’re doing. It seems pretty straightforward, and it is. However, there are some important things to remember when disconnecting the battery in your car, truck, or SUV. Here are some tips on disconnecting a car battery, from Clyde's Car & Light Truck Repair in Salisbury, MD.

headlight

Foggy headlights are a problem that has arisen in the past couple of decades, as we have moved away from glass sealed beam bulbs and into an era of plastic lenses with bulbs inside. While modern headlights are superior to the sealed beam headlights of years ago, they do tend to fog up after years of use. It’s a good trade for far better illumination and easier replacement, but an issue nonetheless. Hours and hours of heat, sunlight, and age eventually cause them to cloud up, which can reduce visibility at night in addition to worsening the appearance of your car, truck, or SUV. From Clyde's Car & Light Truck Repair in Salisbury, MD, here are some tips on taking care of your foggy or cloudy headlight issue.

Like anything else on your vehicle, keeping various systems clean and in good shape is essential to long life and reliability. Your fuel system is especially important - parts are expensive, problems can be difficult to diagnose, and it doesn’t take much contamination to cause a huge issue. It’s much easier to keep your fuel system clean than it is to clean a dirty or problematic system. Performing regular fuel treatment can prove very beneficial to the life of your vehicle.
